A Naturopathic and Classical Chinese Medicine School
National College of Natural Medicine--medicine's natural habitat since 1956--offers three exceptional degree programs: Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND), Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) and Master of Acupuncture (MAc). Within the next few months, the college will add a Master of Science in Integrative Medicine Research and programs for working professionals to the academic calendar. NCNM's Helfgott Research Institute is a recognized leader in complementary and alternative medicine research with grants from NIH and other sources. The college's on-campus teaching clinic offers patients the full spectrum of naturopathic and classical Chinese medicine treatments and houses a state-licensed laboratory and a medicinary of naturopathic products with more than 300 Chinese herbs that are blended and formulated onsite. In addition to the NCNM Clinic, students and faculty participate in 15 community clinics throughout the Portland metro area.
NCNM's mission is to educate and train physicians, practitioners and pre-professionals in the art, science and research of natural medicine.
